We’re conscious that many dental products can end up in the bin which isn’t good for resources or the environment, so we are excited to let you know you can now recycle your old toothbrushes and floss containers in the practice.

We are a registered public drop-off point for the Philips Dental Care Recycling program where we can collect manual toothbrushes, electric toothbrushes and floss heads, empty floss containers, floss sticks and interdental brushes. We send them off to Terracycle who will recycle them into a raw material that manufacturers can use in the plastics industry.

Simply bring your clean old toothbrushes and floss items into the surgery and deposit them in the bin in reception and we’ll do the rest.

Products not taken include battery-operated toothbrushes, electric toothbrush handles, toothpaste tubes and caps, outer cardboard and plastic packaging for toothbrushes, toothpaste tubes and floss containers, dental floss and batteries.
